Last night we celebrated the birthday of a friend of mine, ‘Ria Daryani’.

The celebration was in a restaurant located in the Citibank Tower, Salcedo Village, Makati, called ‘Top of the Citi’ by Chef Jessie.

Chef Jessie is already well known (particularly for her melt in your mouth, perfectly baked souffle’s), and she is a highly respected chef. She has a restaurant at The Rockwell Club as well as her restaurant ‘Top of the Citi’, and she even recently opened the country’s very first revolving restaurant at the 33rd floor of the MDC 100 building in Eastwood, Libis, where you can have a 360-degree breathtaking view of the metro, and eat truly mouth watering food. Well I will save that for another post..

My experience here at Top of the Citi was very nice.

When we entered we were seated outside which was a very beautiful set up with dimly lit lights all around the balcony, and a great view of Makati, however since we are in the hottest months of the year we decided to move indoors for our dining experience.

The atmosphere inside is quite formal, and lacks a kind of uniqueness I look for in a fine dining experience, however it was nice none the less.

I ordered a delicious Salmon dish, and I have to say, the Salmon really was cooked perfectly, then smothered in a creamy artichoke sauce, and sided with vegetables and creamy mashed potato. All very delicious, and I was happy with my choice. This dish was around 850 pesos.

My friends thankfully chose different dishes, allowing me to share more mouth watering photo’s with you!

And a classic Spaghetti Bolognese (450 pesos)

And along with our very yummy food, we had some great chats with equally great friends…

I look forward to many more experiences like this.

You can’t beat great times with lovely friends, accompanied by some very delicious food.
