I have always been interested in the benefits we can get from all the various kinds of food choices we are surrounded by. I mean, a healthy body with minimal visits to the doctor Vs an unhealthy body that is highly susceptible to different strains of viruses, should be a no brainer right!? Obviously if we eat mostly packaged or processed foods, deep fried foods, or sugar laden foods, we will likely be doing more damage than good to our health, and even with all the healthy choices out there it’s often hard to eat the amount of vitamins we need to keep healthy, taking into consideration the busy lives we live today, and the nearest place to work often be a fast food joint. That’s why I got interested in taking vitamins.
I’m not a nutritionist by any means, but I am definitely someone who has done a great amount of research as to which vitamins are good for our health, and one of those vitamins that comes most often, in close competition with Vitamin C is Fish Oil, or Squalene.
Before moving onto the benefits of this oil, I want to state how important it is to research the supplement brand thoroughly before taking the pills. If you go for the cheapest brand without knowing where it comes from or what process it goes through, then your presumed anitoxidant power house could again do more harm than good. Sometimes the process the vitamin goes through results in very little of the vitamin actually being absorbed into your body, and these days, when buying fish oil, you would definitely want to know which sea the fish is coming from, with all the polluted waters. Sadly.
Issho Genki is not a cheap product, but it’s definitely a quality product, and there are certainly things that are worth spending more money on. Just like a lot of us spend so much money every month at Coffee Bean or Starbucks, to buy quality coffee and that ‘coffee experience’, instead of an instant 3 in 1 coffee mix at our office desk or at home, how much more should be save a budget for our health and prevention of future diseases, which WILL come if we don’t prevent. We all think we are invincible at some time in our lives, and therefor many people don’t invest in their health to begin with until they already start experiencing sickness, then comes the hospital bills and chemically made medications instead.
Just like I enjoy eating cakes, chocolates and ice cream, perhaps a little too often, I also love knowing that the majority of the food I eat is giving me the essential vitamins I need, and when I am too busy to cook, I have my vitamins to keep me healthy. Personally I take a good Vitamin C, E, B, D, Calcium, Zinc and Squalene. And now I will share with you what the Squalene alone can do for your body and your health.
This particular source of Squalene comes from the freshest waters of New Zealand, then it is shipped to a factory in Japan, where they have the strictest packaging you will find anywhere in the world. You can’t even visit the factory without turning yourself into a spaceman/woman first, with a full suit covering your body from the top of your head all the way down to your shoes.
Now for the benefits of what they call a “miracle oil”.
1. It’s known to help cure people from wounds, or digestive problems, or liver disorders.
2. The key components in this “miracle oil” are first grade Omega-3 fatty acids, alkylglycerols and squalene, all being known to have anti-cancer qualities, yet the squalene alone has a long list of benefits including:
3. strengthening collagen structure and deactivating the free radicals produced by exposure to the sun, effectively protecting us from UV radiation and other oxidative damage.
4. In cosmetics, squalene from deep-sea shark livers has become a popular component in skin products. You will find this mostly in lotions and moisturizers because it is easily absorbed by the skin. Squalene as a lubricant reduces the appearance of fine lines and leaves the skin smooth, soft, and healthier than before. Similarly, it is also known to reduce acne breakouts.
5. It helps increase the oxygen flow around our body which benefits our whole body.
You can check out the website for the scientific reasoning behind this here:

6. Squalene oil has anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties, effectively protecting us against colds, viruses, and infections.
7. It supports the immune system and rejuvenates weakened sells while promoting healthy new cell growth.
The amount of squalene that can naturally be found in our body peaks in our twenties and gradually decreases as we age. It is important to replenish our squalene levels every day for optimum health while it’s still early. Other known sources of squalene are vegetables (most especially olive oil), but shark liver oil remains to be the most abundant source of squalene to date.

Hi! I took Issho Genki Squalene a few years back and it was very effective for overall health. I felt less tired during the day and slept well in the evenings. The problem is Watsons where I used to get it from regularly, doesn’t carry it that often anymore. The website is also down. Do you have any recommendations where to get more of this in the Philippines? There are some online sellers but I’m cautious as they may be fake.
